10 Rejuvenating DIY Face Masks

Whether it’s lack of vitamins, overload of stress or simply just dehydration or cold weather…. it can impact our skin in more than one ways. Sometimes it leads to dry skin, sometimes we have acne breakouts.
Having skin that is dry and not soft and hydrated is a big no no. It causes redness, itching and a cracky skin that doesn’t feel very nice. On the other hand, acne isn’t any good either, sometimes pimples are painful and pull down on our self esteem.
So here’s a list of DIY face masks that you can easily and quickly whip up at home and keep your skin soft, clean and loved.

1. Banana & Cream

Mask and mix 1 Banana with 1 Tbsp Cream. Apply it on your face for 15-20 minutes. After that rinse and wash with warm water and nourish your face with a nice moisturiser.

2. OatMeal

A mask made from oatmeal just wonderfully makes the skin super soft and nice.
To try this, take 3 Tbsp of Milk and add 3Tbsps of Oatmeal to it. Add in 1Tbsp of honey to this and apply it onto your face. Keep it on for about 15-20 minutes. Wash and Rinse with cold water.

3. Tomato

Tomatoes make the skin soft and bright so while they are a treat to eat, they work just as well for the skin too.
To make this mask, squish in 1 Tomato, add in Wheat Oil and 1Tbsp Cheese to it. Apply the mixture to your face, skin for about 20 minutes. Wash with Cold Water.

4. Turmeric & Milk

Turmeric has some beneficial anti inflammatory properties that works like magic on skin.
Mix 1/2 Tsp Turmeric in Milk and apply that to your face. Keep it on for a while, you could even keep this mask on overnight and wash with cold water once you wake up. If you like you can add in a bit of Lemon Juice as well since it prevents acne.

5. Olive Oil

Olive Oil, as wonderful an ingredient as this is for cooking, it’s just as good if not better to apply on to your skin.
Just simple apply olive oil to your face for a while and then wash it away after about 15 minutes. You could add to your night cream too. It has really nice properties that reduces oxidative stress.

6. Cucumber

Cucumber has a cooling effect on the skin. It reduces sunburns, improves wrinkles and brightens the skin tone.
Simple dab the juice of a cucumber onto your skin and rinse it off in a while.

7. Honey & Lime

Lime Juice & Honey contract our skin pores and combining the two in Coconut Oil makes for a great face mask. Mix the ingredients together and apply it to your face for about 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it with cold water.

8. Multanni Mitti

Multani Mitti is an ingredient you’re sure to find in Indian Households and it works like a charm on the skin. Make a face mask by mixing some Multanni Mitti with Rose Water and enjoy a clean, fresh skin in 15 minutes.

9. Neem Leaves

If you deal with alot of acne this ones for you. Make a pasta out of Neem leaves and Lime Juice and apply that for 15-20 minutes.

10. Mint Leaves

Another wonderfully refreshing face mask for skin that’s prone to acne. Grind up mint leaves and add honey to make it a paste. Apply that on your face and keep it till it drys. It feels slightly tingly but works beautifully.
